Movies To Watch With Our Children
By
Throughout my children's lives, it seems like movie studios stepped up and produced animated movies that appealed to both children and parents. They were profoundly successful as several animated franchises have been multi-billion dollar successes. The Toy Story franchise has been very successful. I watched all these movies with my boys, when they were younger. Once they reached puberty, they lost interest.
Still, I enjoyed the movies and continued to watch some of them as they came out. Toy Story 4 won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film in 2020.
I say all that to share a couple animated movies that I really liked.
First, Inside Out. The name isn't eye-catching. It was very well received by critics and audiences. It is a story about a little girl who moves with her family to a new city and goes to a new school and is having a lot of challenges dealing with it. This movie made me laugh, it made me cry and it made feel good inside. I think you would enjoy it and I think Marta will like it too. It will teach her about the different emotions we all have and how they work together and how they fight each other. As an adult, I understood these conflicting emotions, but even I came away with a better understanding of how our brains work.
It is SO SO good.
I hope you have seen Finding Nemo. It was a worldwide blockbuster. If you and Marta haven't, I recommend you watch it. It is wonderful.
Toy Story is incredible. Grown ups enjoy it just as much as children. All 4 movies are excellent, but 1 and 4 are the best. Highly recommended!
