Matt took a blank piece of white paper and folded it in half, twice, to make the most basic, homemade birthday card you could imagine. But when I read his message, I discovered it was the most beautiful birthday card I had ever received and that I am the luckiest father in the world (actually, I already knew I was the luckiest father in the world!).

Matt loves his Mom very much, but he still is able to be supportive of me. I am incredibly fortunate.

Receiving a card like this makes up for all the tough times we've had and all the times I had to be a tough parent. It makes up for it 1 million times over.
